I had a very nice childhood there because I had a lot of friends and the love of my older brothers. They treated me like I was a cute doll and took care of me.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I never knew my father. He died two months before I was born. I also want the judges to know that have I suffered from racism. There have been times when I have walked down the street that I have been called names because I have an interracial heritage. I have received insults from both sides - African and Caucasian. It is very humiliating; I feel very sad about it because it is horrible when it happens.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I'm particularly passionate about the visual and performing arts. Currently I'm in my 7th year as a performing company member of the Antigua Dance Academy. The school specializes in traditional Caribbean folk dance, but other techniques are taught. In addition to the arts, I'm fascinated by computers, and I am pursuing studies within this field.
What is your career ambition?
I would like to become an entrepreneur providing quality computer network services.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in the neighbourhood where my mother and her family grew up. I can clearly remember the many family get-togethers and spending time with my many cousins. I was always very busy as a child, going to school, attending music and dance lessons and serving as a member of the Girl Guides Association of Antigua. Looking back, I can truly say I enjoyed every moment of it!
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I would like the judges to know that I'm not merely another pretty face. I'm an extremely determined young woman who never settles for second best.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I'm interested in my studies (Architecture). I like to travel to travel because I like learning about new cultures, meeting new people and seeing new places. I enjoy singing the most because I love music and am on my way to being professional singer.
What is your career ambition?
My career ambition is to work as a model or singer. I also would like to be a well-respected and renowned architect. I want my work to mean something in whatever field I work. As a model or singer, for example, I will put on benefit shows, continuing the work I have already begun now. As an architect, I will help build shelters, educational centers and/or low-income housing, as long as I'm able to give back.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in a very beautiful town called Ensenada where I had a very happy childhood with my parents and my brother. I have excellent memories of my childhood.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I am a complete and prepared woman. I have learnt a lot during my life and I am willing to give the best of me. I know I have a lot to live and I feel this is my way and to be participating in this contest is the beginning of something great to come if the judges trust me and give me the chance of showing it.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
My parents were very young when I was born, so we went to live with my grandparents in Venezuela and then Miami, FL. At the age of 7 my family returned to Aruba to try to make it on our own. We moved around a lot, and ever since I was 15, I have had a part-time job. Even though we had difficult times, I always have had what I needed: the love and support of my family. What do you want the judges to know about you?
I want the judges to know that I come from an island where Norms and Values are the keys in our lives. I consider myself a determined, well-organized, very positive person with a sense of flexibility who is always looking for new challenges. One of the things I like about myself is that I don't have a problem adapting in new environments.

I was raised in Christ Church which is very close to the sea. I'm an only child, but I never lacked company, since I grew up surrounded by my immediate and extended family; I'm extremely close to my parents and other extended family members. I had a happy childhood and traveled with my parents often. I also went on lots of picnics at the beach and bike rides with family members and neighbours.

To be the Head Nurse in the country of Belize and continue to model, do print work for as long as possible and always be involved in charity, especially related to children and the elderly.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I grew up in an old colonial house in Belize City. It was near the sea and right across from our still very popular Memorial Park. My parents, two sisters , my brother and I lived in the attic area of the house, which was fairly large for an attic. My great-grandmother lived on the main floor, and she took great pride in maintaining and keeping up the well-waxed wooden floors. She would varnish her wooden furniture on a regular basis. The house was very interesting because it was rich in history, from the paintings and pictures to household items, books and furniture, most of which was mahogany. Our attic area was always filled with a wonderful sea breeze that the large old fashioned shutter windows allowed in. My siblings and neighborhood friends were always playing outdoors whether it was in the park or in someone's backyard. However, one of my most favorite memories of living there was waking up early in the morning when the air was the freshest and my mom taking us all out to the park for a breakfast picnic. It was wonderful.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
As a nursing student I have had the opportunity of working with Belizean adults, students and children of all ages; I've worked with them as a nurse and as an educator in areas such as hypertension, diabetes, obesity and HIV/AIDS, which are very common in my country, along with many other illnesses and disorders. I do enjoy the profession I have chosen. Although working at the regional hospital and the clinics has brought me great satisfaction, I believe I receive even greater satisfaction in educating them and taking on a more preventative approach, which is so needed right now. Belize is a melting pot of many various cultures, so I also get the chance of getting to know each one, their lifestyles, and beliefs, which I always find very interesting.

In the short term I want to have my own TV program to promote tourism in Bolivia. But, in the long term I want to be a businesswoman and take charge of my mother's cattle farm.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I had an amazing childhood. My father is a petroleum engineer and because of this we moved a lot. I lived in Scotland, England, Brazil, and, of course, Bolivia. I am an only child and because of that I never had problems making new friends. Every school break we would go to my mother's farm in Bolivia. Those are my best memories, swimming in the rivers, climbing trees, and adventuring in the woods with my cousins.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
During the short time I have been Miss Bolivia, I've been involved in the conservation of wildlife and fundraising to help thousands of families who lost everything they had because of big floods in Beni, Bolivia. I want to change the image that people have of my country and show the beauty that we have to attract more tourists. I also want the judges to know that I am not doing this for a personal ambition or vanity but because I want to help and make a difference in this world. I am a survivor who struggled in this life, but never gave up. God and my mother's love have taught me that nothing is easy, but we only have one life and with responsibility we can transform what we have and what surrounds us into what we want it to be. We can shine in the world by being humble, strong and true to ourselves and our dreams. Now, as an ambassador of Bolivia and with the love that I have for my country, I will fight to reach the dream of taking the Miss Universe crown to my people. With spirituality, love, dedication, and confidence, I am going to represent Bolivia with dignity, giving my heart and soul to turn the eyes of the world to my faithful people.

Given that I love a good laugh, I really enjoy watching stand-up comedy, playing practical jokes and surprising people. Furthermore, I also enjoy writing poetry as it has provided me with a special place to display my emotions at any given time. As a survivor of domestic violence I hope I can act as a role model to children facing similar challenges. The easiest thing to do in life when facing hardship is to give up; it takes hard work, determination and self-confidence to tell yourself that you will not use the negative circumstances in your life as a crutch but rather as a springboard to a brighter future filled with hope. I was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but I have lived in Colombia since I was three. I lived out my childhood in Valledupar (my parents' hometown), and it was very nice because I grew up with the typical, and now renowned, local music, Vallenato. The people are very friendly because this music makes everybody happy. I'm a very happy person because of my childhood. I used to travel around the world with my family, and I saw many cultures and places that I enjoyed when I was a girl. Also, my parents are from Colombia and part of my family comes from Indian decent called Arhuacos.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I'm an authentic and natural girl with no surgeries and for me the most important thing is not having a gorgeous body, but interior beauty, a great heart, intelligence and being grateful for everything that God has given me. I also want the judges to know that I have a foundation for Deaf people. I created it with my mom who knows about this terrible illness because she is an otolaryngologist. I have been working by myself getting support from everybody because I'm working to get cochlear implants for Deaf people. At this moment we are organizing a beauty pageant for Deaf girls called Miss Deaf Colombia.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My main interest in the short term is to represent my country the best I can in the Miss Universe Competition and getting my master's degree in Environmental Studies. What I enjoy doing most is watching movies from several countries around the world. It is an easy way for me to get to know and learn about the cultures from each country and region.
What is your career ambition?
My main goal is to be an excellent environmental health professional because in my country we have great flora and fauna and we have to take very good care of it.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in a very nice town called Orotina, 2 hours away from San Jose. My childhood was one of the most special periods of my life; I was a very happy child with a lot of freedom and a loving family. I spent most of my days on my family's farm, riding horses, eating lots of fruits, and playing in the green fields all day.

I very much enjoy taking photographs, reading books, dancing, and spending time on the beach near my home. I enjoy dancing the most, especially learning Latin dances.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised in Split, the second largest harbor on the Adriatic coast of Croatia, where the ancient Roman summer palace of the emperor Diocletian still stands from the 2nd Century A.D. I will never forget my childhood summers with my brother and friends and the fun we had, spending days on the beach near our house.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
Although it may sound like a cliché, I would like the judges to know that I am extremely proud to represent my beautiful country of Croatia at the Miss Universe pageant. It has been my dream ever since I was a little girl, and now I am here, grateful for this opportunity that happens once in a lifetime.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
I love playing volleyball. For many years I have been a part of our national team and as such I have represented Curaçao in various international competitions. I was selected as the Best Libero in Jamaica in 2005. I also love sharing my knowledge - either teaching kids to play volleyball or helping fellow students with subjects I understand better.
What is your career ambition?
Since September of 2005, I have been a student of the Bachelor Degree level at the University of the Netherlands Antilles. I hope to obtain my degree in International Business in June 2008. After that I would like to enroll in an American University to pursue my Master's Degree in Economics. My final goal will be to become a Professional Businesswoman.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in Curaçao in 1986 into a family of my mother, father and older brother. I went to kindergarten and then to elementary school and after that to high school. I had a great and blessed childhood, doing all the normal, healthy and everyday activities according to the stage of development that I was going through. Two of my friends who I made in my childhood are currently still my best friends. I love my family life, I feel very secure. Most of all, I have enjoyed the many countries I have visited during vacations with my parents and brother.

I was raised in a little town in Czech Republic called Strážnice. It is a small and very nice town. I spent my childhood with my wonderful parents and one younger sister. My family is very important to me. I grew up in harmonic surroundings. I have very nice memories from my childhood; I will never forget not only the experiences that I spent with people around me, but also normal days with my family.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
When I studied applied law, I realized that I have a passion for the cause of abused animals. I am convinced that animals are feeling creatures that deserve attention, care and protection. I am upset by the cruelty and maltreatment that some of them suffer from humans. I consider this to be my mission.

Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was raised partly in Denmark and partly in the former republic of Yugoslavia. My childhood was happy, but also challenging. We moved from Denmark to Bosnia in 1981, where everyday life was wonderful and rich. However, a poor economy caused my family some rough years and neglect in terms of staying together as a family. Moving back to Denmark at the age of 8 was a hard time. To begin a new life with new friends and a new language was the hardest task in my life. For many years it was frustrating to overcome the language barrier, to integrate in the society, understanding the Danish culture and being comfortable in my own shoes. However, this experience has made me the stronger person who I am today and taught me always to have my diplomatic hat on when interacting with people.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
It is hard to explain in a few words what I stand for and who I am, but I will spare you the long story. I want you to know that I am one of the oldest in the competition and hence perhaps also more experienced in life. I am bringing Denmark to a whole new level in this competition with a new purpose and personality. I am an export engineer and have also studied cross-cultural interaction socially and on a business level and always interacted with different nationalities in my life. I have knowledge of a broad list of cultures, and I have adapted to most of them. Most people see me as a multicultural person who understands many values in different cultures. I am warm, open, ambitious, helpful, and love is the essential motivation in my life. I have a weakness towards the less fortunate people in third-world countries and other poor parts of the world who usually are warm, interesting, generous and wonderful people. I work with the Danish refugee council where I volunteer in a social club for young teenagers with different backgrounds such as second-generation foreigners and foreigners with refugee parents. I interact with the children, we plan activities and help them to deal with conflicts, and I try to be a role model for integrating them into the Danish society. These girls are my biggest fans at this competition, and their thoughts and support mean the world to me. I am already an ambassador of culture for Korea and was recently named a Kayageum prodigy by the Kumho Art Center, the most prestigious musical foundation in Korea. I am in graduate school at Seoul National University, the top university in Korea. My career ambition is very specific. My major is international business. It was a bittersweet childhood. On one hand, I learned how to rise from the rubble because during my childhood Lebanon was in an extremely destructive war. I want the judges to know that the experiences that I've been through, i.e., from surviving the war, being in the Red Cross, doing a lot of humanitarian activities, etc., have made me a stronger person. Therefore, I know that any job that jumps into my hand, I will know how to handle it and I will know how to turn it my way. My childhood was fantastic and unforgettable for I have great parents and am part of a beautiful family of 4 children and we had lots of fun. My father is a well-known singer. I was raised in a modern house in the centre of Quatre Bornes where I had all sorts of access to restaurants, shops, the market, etc., and I could move around easily.

I am currently attending University (A Level) and am due to complete such at the end of this year (2007). I play volleyball and like swimming and running. On a weekly basis, I devote one evening to less fortunate children and provide them tutoring in French. In my spare time, me and a group of friends visit orphanages to spend some time with children and to motivate/entertain them. At other times, me and my family visit senior citizens' homes to assist and provide comfort to the elderly. Having grown up in a family where music is very present, I sing and perform regularly at parties and gatherings. I was raised in a small town by my grandparents for some years because there were no schools near where my parents lived and later on in Culiacan (Sinaloa's capital) by my parents. My childhood was difficult because two brothers died during that period of my life and that caused a lot of pain for me and my family for many years. There seemed to be no pause for recovery since one died three years after the other. But on the other hand that brought us closer as a family. What do you want the judges to know about you?

I want the judges to know that I’m very excited to be in this pageant for three reasons. First of all, since not all the delegates would be able to travel to my country anytime soon, I can’t wait to bring my country to Mexico and have the rest of the world experience its beauty and generous spirit through me. I’m sure I will achieve lots of memorable learning experiences from this pageant, so I’m going to be myself, enjoy the experience, and make many new friends. Secondly, I’m proud to bring both my Western and Eastern heritages to this pageant. Since a beauty pageant like the Miss Universe pageant creates role models that young people look up to, I hope that my participation will encourage them to take pride in their bicultural heritage, build self-esteem, dream big and stay focused on their dreams and goals because they can be whoever and wherever they want to be. As my grandmother said, “If you can dream it, you can do it”, and I’d like to pass this on to them, because right now, I AM living my dream - I am in the Miss Universe pageant! I feel very fortunate to be living in Norway, the world’s top-ranking foreign aid donor because it could give me the much needed resources to help these children. When I was a young child, I was overweight; I was never the belle of the school. Because I am a passionate and determined person, I managed to change how I looked to make myself a happier person. Never did I dream that I would be standing right here representing Singapore in Miss Universe. I would love to use my personal experiences to motivate others to improve their situations. In a year, I am opening a club in Bratislav. (We are working on the name of it now.) I worked 9 years as a model and this has always been my dream to let people have fun. And, in the future I will definitely run a modeling agency. I was a very happy child because I had all the attention that I could need. I am an only child and the youngest child in my extended family. I was never spoiled and I respected my parents throughout my childhood and hard puberty.

I am sometimes stubborn but that can also be a positive thing because even when things aren't going well I try to see them in a positive manner and bring out the best in any situation. My motto is, "Every day is a new day with new ideas and new goals to reach."

My interests include horseback riding, water skiing and playing the piano. I also enjoy designing and making my own clothes.

My main priority is to start a business with my mom that focuses on developing women's inner and outer beauty. I would also like to get into presenting and acting and have already appeared on a local soap opera.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I was raised in a small town called Hillcrest in Kwa Zulu Natal. My elder sister and I were lucky enough to grow up surrounded by animals of every kind. My parents set good examples for us and raised us with a solid understanding of God and His importance in our lives.

I am a very strong minded person and I know who I am and where I am going in life; I have set strong goals and boundaries for myself. I have just completed my Bachelor of Social Sciences degree in Media and Communications and Marketing and I plan to use this degree in both my career and in promoting the Tapologo AIDS Hospice in South Africa.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Because of my personality, I always need to be learning new things, but if I had to choose, I would point to four. One of my passions is to travel. I love going to new places and take the most from every culture. The experience I am going to take with me from Miss Universe will be amazing because I have met wonderful women from many different countries. The second one is going to the cinema; even though I do not have much spare time, I go every time I can. I love getting into the movie and enjoy it when it enriches me. The third one is walking on the beach, especially in the winter when there is no one there and you can hear the sound of the sea, which I find very relaxing; it is a good time to think and dream about my future. And, the fourth, and final one, is that I need to spend hours speaking with my sister Patricia because she is a very important person to me and her support has always been unconditional.
What is your career ambition?
Before being elected Miss Spain, my goal for September was to study for my master's degree in different facets of business and international law. However, the opportunity that my country has given me of representing Spain in an international level sets a new objective in my career. I am so proud of being part of a contest where they seek not only a beautiful woman, but one qualified to assume the responsibilities that are inherent with the title of Miss Universe, i.e., doing the social and cultural acts she does.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I was born in San Sebastian. Built around a beautiful bay, it is a city of 180,000 inhabitants that is elegant, modern and pleasing to the eye and that enjoys a high quality of life. Its climate is characterized by minimum thermal cycling with mild winters and cool summers. There is an extensive gastronomy culture. My childhood was very happy. I was very extroverted and I spent a lot of time making new friends. Every weekend I used to go for walks with my sister and my parents because we loved seeing new places.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I took part in the Miss Spain contest because it was something that I had wanted since I was little. My mother took part in a similar contest when she was young and she won the second runner up title. When my sister and I were little we used to play with the sash, look through her pictures and imagine that we were there. It was something we did as kids, but when we got older we decided to follow in her footsteps. My sister did not win the local contests, but I lived the experience so closely that I wanted to be part of it, too. I wanted to feel it and I knew that if I did not try it, I would have regretted it my whole life.

My career ambition is to be a fully qualified Cosmetologist.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.Growing up in the town of Soufriere, which is known for its twin pitons and the Caribbean's only drive-in volcano, I spent most of my childhood with my great-grandmother who taught me the art of making earrings out of seashells.

If I become Miss Universe, I would rise to the occasion with dignity, vigor, humility and sincerity.

My interests are sports, eating, spending time with my family and friends, and going out to enjoy myself in general. I also like to travel, and Mexico is my dream come true.

My career ambition is to finish my university studies. I enjoy modeling. Fashion is my passion. Music is also something I am interested in.
What is your career ambition?
My ambition is to be an engineer as well as a top model and also a fashion stylist. Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I grew up in the Shinyanga region in a normal family. Shinyanga is a region in Tanzania that is known for its minerals, especially diamonds, and is also reputed to be endowed with precious stones. I had a happy and fun-filled childhood where laughter and adventure were a part of every day life. I also frequently visited the mines in the area with my family and friends.

I am an electrical technician by profession as well as a top model in my country. I never let anyone define me neither by hair nor clothing as I believe God made me perfect as a pure, natural African woman.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
Playing the piano; teaching piano; visiting orphanages; doing charity work; and reading books. I also love everything to do with Tchaikovsky, or, if I may address him as such, my musical God. I love his beautiful melodies, his rich orchestration. etc. I especially love his ballet music Swan Lake, his Piano Concerto no. 1 in B flat minor and uncountable orchestral works that are so great, so sentimental. His music sincerely conveys love to people on earth.
What is your career ambition?
Since I was 3 years old, I have played piano, so I would love to be a concert pianist and open a music school.
Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born and raised in a small province called Pratumtani near Bangkok. My childhood was as simple as a typical Thai kid had in those days. Living in a warm family that was filled with love and understanding plus fun meant that money was not important.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I am a serious classical music lover. Saying this I do not mean that I discriminate against pop or jazz or other kinds of music. But, to me, classical music is my life, especially music that was composed before the 1900's. In music there is no borderline. Without words you can portray all kinds of moods that all mankind on earth can understand. Music is a land that no words can ever reach. I always seek peace of mind by playing or listening to music no matter how I feel, sad or glad or in a normal state of mind. Music is art and art is goodness. When you have goodness as your principal in life, you will look at the sunny side of life, you will be a positive person and understand life and you will always do good things. That's me.

At first I was interested in business but because of my love and special interest in children, I have decided to pursue a course in medicine specializing in pediatrics. Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I was born and raised in Providenciales, Turks and Caicos. During my childhood I was surrounded by caring family members who taught me to be confident, respectful and honest. Our family was united and it showed me that when we unite, we can accomplish more. My goal is to be successful in life. Whatever I choose to do, I want to do it well.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I was raised in a small village, and when I was 10 my family moved to Kharkiv (the 2nd largest city in Ukraine). My childhood was very happy; I was surrounded by the love and care of my family. I would never want to change anything that happened to me from that time. I was a very happy child.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
I want the judges to know that I've come so far in this contest and in my life because of the great support of my family. We had a very rough life in Ukraine. After the country became independent, the political situation became critical and people's lives became very hard. My father's business failed and my mom was a doctor earning $100 USD a month. My 70-year-old grandma was the main financial support in my family before I started making some money modeling in Asia. My parents sacrificed everything to give me and my sister a good education and a chance to be successful in this world. Maybe I was born in the wrong time for my country, but I was and am definitely in the right family.

What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests are growing in my career and earning a good living. I enjoy a lot of things in life, but what I enjoy the most is traveling. The world is wonderful and there is a lot to learn from it; traveling is the best way to learn about various cultures, people and places.

My ambition is to grow in my career as a model and TV host, and I would love to try acting too. I took a break between high school and university because I wanted to take advantage of every opportunity that my career could give me while I'm still young. I don't have brothers or sisters but I have a big family and my cousins play the roles of brothers in my heart. I had a happy childhood and I'm very grateful to my parents for that. What are your interests and what do you enjoy doing the most?
My interests include living my life to the fullest by immersing myself in those activities that give me the most pleasure. I am a huge sports enthusiast and enjoy watching college football and basketball, especially when my alma mater, Virginia Tech, is playing. Most of the time, when I am in the mood for a little more hands on action, I participate in local volleyball and softball leagues. I have always been an avid reader and love curling up with a good book especially on those days or nights when the Caribbean weather is a little temperamental. I also enjoy modeling, drawing, and weightlifting. What I enjoy the most, however, is spending time with friends and family because I am lucky to be surrounded by some of the most comical characters who make me laugh, sometimes without even trying.
What is your career ambition?
Interning in the Browards Sheriff's Office in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, cemented my aspirations to one day become a forensic scientist, so that I can contribute to my community by aiding the capture of criminals.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.I was raised in the beautiful United States Virgin Islands, constantly surrounded by a warm Caribbean climate, pristine blue waters, and a diverse community that has molded me into the person that I am today. My mother, a teacher, made sure that education was a priority in my life, and it was from her I learned the value of a powerful intellect. My father, an entrepreneur, passed on to me the need to be creative and innovative, which he proved by supporting his family through his many business endeavors. While my family was never considered wealthy, my siblings and I were always provided with the necessities in life and from a young age, learned to value the simple pleasures in life. This was definitely an important lesson to learn in my youth because the slow pace of these islands provided very little beyond those simple pleasures. Therefore, most of my time was spent in school, at church, playing sports, and relaxing at the beach with friends. I consider it a blessing to have been raised in paradise by a family who nurtured and guided me in the right direction.
What do you want the judges to know about you?
Being raised in the melting pot, the U.S. Virgin Islands, has afforded me the opportunity to be influenced by many cultures and diversity. I believe the ability to interact with all different types of people is an important and necessary trait of a potential Miss Universe. My degrees in Biology and Chemistry prepared me to pursue a career in public health. As the Pandemic Influenza Planning Executive for the Department of Health, I have been trained as a spokesperson to create awareness in the community about pandemic influenza, commonly known as the "bird flu", and offer advice about the protection and prevention of the public's health. Creating awareness about disease and pestilence all over the world is something I would love to continue doing as Miss Universe. Also, my involvement in sports helps me to positively influence, guide, and assist in the growth and development of the youth in my diversified community.

I have so many dreams and aspirations, but my career ambition is to be a reputable journalist at a national or international level so that I may educate the general public about the world they are living in. Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.
I was born in the Republic of Panama to military parents from the USA. As an infant, we moved to Fort Campbell, Kentucky. Soon, thereafter, my parents bought a home in the small town of Clarksville, Tennessee, which is the place I have called home most of my life. I am an only child but was blessed to have my maternal grandmother Nana live with us since I was 9 months old. My family is very loving and supportive and has afforded me many opportunities to learn and grow and become the strong, independent woman I am today.

I also hope to be Zambia's biggest export on an international stage through beauty, fashion and my goodwill work in charity.Describe where you were raised and what your childhood was like.Growing up in Zambia, I was raised in the beautiful motherland, Lusaka, the capital city. Life for me was as fulfilling as it is now. My childhood has shaped me into the woman I have grown to become. Coming from a very close-knit family, one full of love and positive guidance, I was always taught to respect those around me regardless of age and gender and to always be honest in my conduct. I have built up a very solid foundation having grown up appreciating my life and what surrounds me. Another bigger area of my childhood was growing up appreciating the teachings of the church. As a Christian, I went through all stages while actively getting involved in all programs offered within the Church. The teachings of the Bible imparted a feeling of calm and peace within me, feelings that I continue to live by.
